These Terms govern your use of the IMSURE platform, mobile/web applications, and any related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or buying a policy you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
IMSURE is operated by IMSURE Technologies Ltd, a company registered in Kenya. We act as a digital insurance distributor under our IRA-licensed underwriting partner. Risk is carried by the partner; IMSURE handles distribution, claims intake, and customer support.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and resident in Kenya (or our supported countries).
- You agree to provide accurate information and complete KYC where required.
- Sanctioned or politically-exposed persons may be declined cover.
3. Your account
Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that show signs of fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms.
4. Buying cover
Each policy you buy is governed by the policy wording shown at checkout and stored on your certificate. Cover starts after we confirm payment via M-Pesa or wallet points. Pricing is shown in KES inclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.
5. Wallet & CoverPoints
- CoverPoints are a loyalty utility, not legal tender, and cannot be sold or transferred.
- Points expire 24 months after the last earning or redemption event.
- We may adjust earn rates and redemption ratios with 14 days notice.
6. Claims
File a claim from the app or by email within 14 days of the incident. Decisions follow the policy wording and Kenyan insurance regulation. See our disclosures for the underwriter and IRA reference.
7. Refunds
See our Refund Policy for cooling-off periods and exclusions.
8. Acceptable use
- No fraudulent or duplicate claims.
- No reverse engineering, scraping, or abuse of the Services.
- No use of the Services for illegal activity.
9. Liability
IMSURE's liability for the Services is limited to the premium paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Insurance claims themselves are paid up to the policy cover limit by the underwriter. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes are communicated by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nairobi.
